Expectations

We know that waiting for an appointment can be frustrating.  We feel that it is important to align expectations. We believe that communicating what you can expect from your team here at Southeast Animal Eye Specialists and working towards common goals are paramount to the successful treatment of all of our patients. Delays in the office are not ideal and are operationally difficult to define. This can create a point of frustration not just in our office but throughout healthcare. There may be delays because of diagnostic testing or waiting for the exam room to be vacated prior to going through the process of preparing it for you. This too can take a while as the patient in there before you may have taken more time than we anticipated. Our Ophthalmologists and the care team here at Southeast Animal Eye Specialists want to respectively give each patient and their people the requisite time needed. Please be assured that we are doing all that we can to facilitate your requests and superior patient care. Please be patient. Please be Kind.

Appointments are currently being scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays. Booking is usually out a week or two in advance. There may be additional appointments available on an emergency basis. Additional fees apply. Please, when possible, try to avoid scheduling other personal appointments within a 2 hour window of your appointment. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation. We have added a text feature for your convenience. Confirmation texts are usually sent a few days prior to your appointment. Opt. in to text messaging services. Unsubscribe at any time.

Please bring all current medications (eye and otherwise) with you to all appointments. This facilitates knowing when you need refills, not duplicating prescriptions, and potentially saves money if you already have a similar medication to one we plan to prescribe.

Helping you manage your pet’s care and medications is always a priority to us. We are very happy to facilitate refills of your medications in the ways that are most convenient and expedient, but we ask that you monitor the need for refills and allow up to 24 hours for us to fill or call in refill authorizations. Refills may be able to be facilitated on Saturdays by contacting our on call service. Please have a copy of your most recent discharge instructions and the name and phone number of the pharmacy you wish to have it called into.

Sincerely,

Your Ophthalmology Team at
